I walked into the Manly location for a consultation to warm up my natural colour. I was super excited about everything the stylist had planned, and since she had time that day to do it, I thought why not! Cut to 8 hours later… I was still in the salon, and the result was nowhere near what I asked for. The colour I ended up with was a far cry from what I had in mind - bright orange. After several attempts to fix it, I left at 8pm, completely deflated. I actually cried myself to sleep that night, especially knowing I was starting a new job in just two days. The stylist was clearly upset too - she suspected the colour reacted differently due to the condition of my hair, which may have been true, but I have been colouring my hair for years and this has never happened and it didn’t make the day any easier. She offered a 50% discount, which I appreciated, but I left feeling heartbroken. I was just about to book into a different salon the next day when I got a call from one of the co-owners at the Carindale location. She was so kind - genuinely apologetic and completely understanding of how upset I was. She invited me in to assess my hair and offered to fix it free of charge. I was hesitant, knowing time was tight and not wanting to risk it getting worse right before my first day. But after a really thoughtful and honest conversation with her and another co-owner, I felt comfortable enough to stay and see what they could do. They took it seriously, starting with multiple strand tests to make sure we didn’t run into the same problem again. I felt so validated and really well looked after by everyone in the salon. A few hours later, I walked out with a massive smile on my face, a huge sense of relief, and some complimentary products for my scalp and hair. Oscar Oscar truly went above and beyond to turn a stressful situation around and make sure I left happy. The team gives amazing hand and neck massages on arrival, too - a total bonus! Safe to say, Oscar Oscar will be my go-to salon from now on.

Can be happier with the awesome work done by Mark. In a world full of long straight hair, it’s hard to find a hairdresser who has the skill to do short hair. Definitely a lost art. Strongly recommend

Had my hair coloured by Chris - super lovely…he understood the task & i walked out with super shiny, lush, grey-free hair. A tiny bit of black hair dye somehow got on to my shirt & i rang the store to see if they had any tried & tested ways of getting hair dye out of clothes. Was genuinely not upset but obviously wanted to salvage the shirt if possible. The customer service that followed was exceptional & needs to be shared. I chatted with Chris on the phone…then Brooke (manager) immediately called me back & offered to reimburse me. Well done team for delivering not only good service, but exceptional after care. I was so happy that I took a chance and walked into Oscar Oscar, Carindale. I loved my whole experience. The front of house team were friendly and understanding. The relaxation treatment before I met Chris, a master stylist, was delicious. Chris was fabulous. He listened carefully, understood my needs, presented a plan, and perfectly executed it. Chris put me at ease and I loved our conversation. My husband was also delighted with my hairstyle and the fact that I came out of the salon very happy and re-energised. Thank you Chris and the Oscar Oscar team!!!
